My friend Muriel

Created by Joan 3 years ago

My earliest memory of Muriel is when she came to Yateley to live, in the late 1940's. We were friends straight away and spent many happy times in each others homes. We even sat next to each other in Hartley Wintney School for most of our time there.

We then grew close again when Ed and I moved into the house next door to Muriel and Brian in around 1970. Our young families grew up together spending many happy times playing the garden. Muriel was a great support and friend to me. I particularly enjoyed all the parties she invited me to.

we all enjoyed visiting Muriel and Brian when they lived in Farnborough, meeting up for teas and a chat.

In our latter years we remained firm friends and met up frequently for lunch and a catch up. Muriel has been involved with me and my family for so many years. She was such a support to me and I will miss her company very much.
