I first met Muriel at the school gates 43 years ago on the day that our sons started school. We became firm friends and we and our husbands spent many holidays and days out together. We were always laughing at something and saw the ridiculous side of every situation. Muriel always wanted to go on an aeroplane so we booked for a week in Portugal and had a lovely time. The other memorable trip was our road trip to Spain to visit my daughter when we encountered all sorts of crazy situations. I will miss Muriel so much for her friendship, humour and loyalty.
